WNYSkydiving will be hosting a FREE First Jump Course again this year on Friday, May 19th. The course begins promptly at 10:00am. Check-in and paperwork will be at 9:45am!

**This free course DOES NOT include a jump following the classroom training.**
WHAT IS IT:
The First Jump Course is a six hour ground school training program that prepares individuals interested in becoming licensed skydivers. This comprehensive course will teach the fundamentals of skydiving including correct free fall body position, flying and landing a parachute, managing emergency procedures, and much more. This course is being offered to the first 25 who register at no charge. This free course DOES NOT include a jump following the classroom training.

WHEN IS IT:
Friday, May 19th at 10:00am until 4:00pm with a lunch break (participants must provide) from 1:00 – 1:30. Please note that this is a full day course. Out of respect for all participants and to ensure an on time start, all participants must arrive no later than 9:45am.

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE:
Individuals who have a desire to learn more about skydiving or become a licensed skydiver should take advantage of this free course. All participants must be at least 18 years of age and weigh no more than 235lbs and be in reasonably good athletic condition.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
You DO NOT need any prior jumping experience in order to participate in this course. This course is designed to prepare participants to take the first step towards becoming a licensed skydiver. In order to better prepare for this course, WNYSkydiving will be providing some video and other resources for participants to familiarize themselves with prior to arrival at the course. Materials will be sent to all participants via email on May 1st.

Due to limited availability, please only sign up if you absolutely plan to attend as not to deny someone the opportunity. Should you need to cancel, please do so 7 days in advance in order to accommodate individuals on the wait list.

LUNCH:

We suggest bringing a water bottle and packing snacks and/or a lunch for this event. There will be a microwave and fridge available. There are also delivery options available (provided upon request at check-in) for lunch.

 

FAQs
Does this free event include a skydive?
No, this free event does NOT include a skydive. This is a free training course to prepare you to learn to skydive solo. If you would like to schedule a tandem skydive or an Accelerated Free Fall jump following this course, you will have the opportunity to do so following the completion of the course.

Is there a minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All participants must be at least 18 years old and weigh no more that 235lbs. Government issued photo ID (ex: driver’s license/passport) is required during check-in.

What do I need to bring to the event?
Please bring your printed ticket or have your digital ticket available for check-in. ALL participants must bring government issued photo ID (license, passport, etc…). You may also want to bring a water bottle, snacks, and a lunch.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person as long as they also meet the age and weight requirements.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
If you plan to transfer your ticket to another person or the name on the ticket does not match the name of the participant, please call or email to let organizers know of the change.
